The origin on Felt Hat Day started (according to Google): The origins of Felt Hat Day remain unknown. Although a couple of theories credit the decades of the 1930s and 1940s for the revival of the hat and the establishment of Felt Hat Day. The 19th century saw the rise of felt hats, as felt became a common fabric to be used in hat production.

This is the third year in a row that I have celebrated Felt Hat Day. It’s just one of those quirky brief holidays that I love to celebrate. Who doesn’t love a day dedicated to wearing hats? If you don’t know about this holiday, it’s very simple. On Felt Hat Day, everyone is encouraged to wear a felt hat! It can be any color or style that you want, and there are no rules other than that. So if you’re looking for an excuse to wear your favorite hat, today is the day! Whether you’re at work, out with friends, or just taking care of errands around town, make sure to throw on your favorite felt hat and enjoy the day. And if you don’t own a felt hat, now is the perfect time to go shopping! ?
While you lounge around with your hat on, I’ve got some great reads for you today:
Kayaks Kisses & Monsters by Ashleigh Stevens
A summer of kayaking sounded perfect. Until the lake monster appeared.
A sweet romantic suspense novella
For Ellie, getting paid to spend her summer outside sounds like the ideal internship, even if it means paddling up and down a river twelve hours a day. Sure, she’s never actually been in a kayak before, but how hard could it be?
At least she knows how to set up camp at night. Unlike her co-worker. Though Clay may be captain of the crew team, she could teach him a thing or two about spending the night in a sleeping bag.
And then there’s the whole lake monster thing. Of course, Ellie knows water monsters aren’t real but Clay doesn’t seem convinced, especially after a boater goes missing. When mysterious accidents threaten her job security, Ellie starts to wonder why the “monster” wants her gone.

Shy Girls Can’t Date Billionaires
I never existed until the wrong guy took notice…
I was born shy. And near him, I fall apart. No wonder he can’t stand the sight of me.
After a fire destroys our home, my family is taken in by a billionaire tycoon. His mansion has countless bedrooms, yet my room is next door to his son, Thomas Ashworth III. Yes, he’s as pompous as the name suggests. And, for some reason, he hates my guts.
Even though his arrogance drives me crazy, his chiselled features turn me into a stammering, awkward mess. I hate being stuck with someone I can’t stand. And when he does something unexpectedly kind, it confuses my heart.
When I bump into him in the middle of the night, I’d never guess it lead to us sharing secrets.
He’s impossible to get out of my head. But he wouldn’t consider dating someone like me. Would he?
You will love Christie and Ash. They are stuck together in forced proximity, becoming practically roommates. He is a billionaire, alpha male type who is learning to love. She is the new girl in school, dealing with past trauma. Together they will go from enemies to lovers in an adorable young adult romance.

Enjoy this recipe “Fresh Tomato Soup with Crispy Cheese Toast” from AllRecipes…
AllRecipes says, “We’re doing a very fresh twist on the classic cream of tomato soup with a grilled cheese sandwich. Since we’re using fresh tomatoes at their peak of vine-ripened goodness, this simple soup is going to be not quite, but almost, 100% tomato.”
